Since the Spirit of God exists within every part of your being, you and God are stuck with each other. Leaving God would be like leaving your kidneys. "I've had it with you, kidneys, and I don't want you in my life any more". Good luck with that.
Actually that analogy is not quite correct. A kidney can be surgically removed. Go ask a surgeon to remove God from your life. I give him five seconds tops before he orders you out of his office.
Every religious organization claims to have the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. They also claim exclusive knowledge of God's will. To completely understand the mind of God, you would have to be as smart as God. I seriously doubt that any religious professional is as smart as God. I'm certainly not that smart. But at least I'm smart enough to realize it.
