The Voice of God
Religious professionals are fond of telling people that they have heard the voice of God and have been commanded by Him to spread the message to others. Some feel that, if the others are not willing to listen, they should be forced to do so. Most are convinced that theirs is the only true message and anybody who believes otherwise is an enemy of God and should be dealt with accordingly.

Actually, I believe they have heard God's voice. My problem is with those who insist that His message is the same for everybody. In the first place, God does not live on a cloud somewhere in outer space. Yeshua told us this but the message got lost in the marketing campaigns of the religious organizations.

Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

So God is not a one-size-fits-all deity. He gives each of us what we need to do what He sent us here to do. Just because His message is right for the preacher does not mean the same message applies to all in the pews. I am also reminded of Acts 2:6:

Acts 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. Acts 2:7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

I believe God still works that way. He gives each of us the message we need in the language we understand. But just as your clothes would not be appropriate for me, God's message to you would probably not be appropriate for me and vice versa. That's why I wrote "Where Is the Lord". You can find it at

If you have heard the voice of God within you, I rejoice for you. But don't expect everybody to accept your message as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. God talks to them too.

Best always
